Very good game last time out.  Many thanks to our subs Matt, Victor and Kevin.  With KK coughing up a lung at home, Bryan and Shayne both gone, we sorely need the back up.

From the sidelines I observed a convincing and dominating effort on our part.  It started in goal with Travis stopping everything that came at him,  He is quickly finding his form after a 16 month rehab.

The defense, anchored by the previously mentioned super sub Victor and Veronica, who is quickly regaining her form, held the SkyCatz to almost no opportunities.  They did get one golden chance, and it was more of a badly timed Christmas gift which they failed to convert.

Thanks to Carrie, Liz and Kelly who alternated at the other full back spot, further solidifying the defense (I think I might have put Lexie back there too, but I'll give her props in a sec).  Kaitlyn was/is a monster at stopper and once she found her comfort zone in the last part of the first half she initiated the offensive push through the middle.

Oz, Oscar & Harman put a ton of shots on target thereby keeping the pressure on.  The three of them will score a mess of goals this season, like a dam ready to burst as it were.

Jeff ensured we kept possession in the middle and played with his usual tenacity.  Halex also his whirling dervish self playing in the middle and up top.  Kevin helped heap pressure on our opponents by driving the ball into the corners in the second half.

All of a sudden our opponents were forced to defend both the middle and the edge, and an offensive opportunity ensued ... like the thrill of slowly unwrapping your Christmas presents it happened ...

Lexie, from the neutral third, won the ball on the left of midfield.  She drove towards the middle while MattyB advanced his run through an available slot, and there it was ... the only goal we needed!

1-0 to the Black Cats!  Vamos mis Gatos!
